Ashley is someone who has torn down major barriers in a heavily male-dominated industry. Ashley started her career in the public school system, where she served for 11 years as an early childhood & special educator. This changed after a few of her friends encouraged her to start a landscape company as a part-time operation. Opportunities surfaced early on. After 4 months, her company was hired to work on the Atlantic City, New Jersey dune creation project which included installing sand fence & planting dune grass on an area equivalent to 88 football fields. That started her 21-year career as the President & 100% owner of Native Terrain, a government & commercial landscape company. With no formal training in business or landscaping, Ashley undertook professional growth coursework while simultaneously running the company and raising two children.
